Parenting
Difficult choices and decisions come with the territory of raising kids. Among these are the decisions on whether to raise your child in a religious home or a secular home, whether or not to require they attend church, how to celebrate holidays (and which ones), and whether or not to do Santa Clause / Easter Bunny / Tooth Fairy myths. Part of thinking freely means to make these decisions deliberately, not do them out of habit, or just because of tradition, or because your parents and peers demand it.

Education
As the song says ” The children are our Future”. There are many factors which parents decide to do or vote on something that may affect the physical or mental health of their offspring. One of the most important concerns should be how and what they are taught.
While it’s encouraged that we teach as much as we can to our children outside of the general education system, parents aren’t always aware of what is going on in public or even private schools. Our group wishes to come together and not only check into such important things, but to be a part of decisions made about our youth. We want to make sure that something doesn’t fall through the cracks that can damage their future.
Play-dates and gatherings
Our group does not currently have any gatherings explicitly for children, such as playgroups or play-dates, but those of us who have kids bring them to the meetings with no problems. All meeting venues are family-friendly.
